Dikencik is a place to relax, unwind and enjoy the tranquillity. Situated 700 metres above sea level, Dikencik offers welcome relief from the summer heat.
Most nights the sky is so dark and the stars so bright, that you feel as if you can reach out and touch them. And the luminus band of the Milky Way arching across the sky makes you want to "count your lucky stars" for staying at Dikencik. Remember to make ‘’a wish" every time your see a shooting star

…many different kinds of mammalians caracal ,wild rabbits, wild boar, bats, squirells , tortoises, fox.
...many species of wild mushrooms are available in and around the land during October to April. The locals hunt many of these mushrooms to eat… Lactarius delicious, Morchella , Clitocybe geotropa , Boletus-suillus viscidus , Macrolepiota procera , Lepista nuda and L. personata, Tricholoma matsutake - they are sent freshly to Japan markets via Antalya.
ACTIVITIES
One of the really unique aspects about Dikencik Cottages is that, regardless of the time of year, there is always something to do. The coast is not far away – about 25 minutes by car. The mountains that fold out around this forest hideaway provide energetic treks and the rivers that flow through the craggy valleys provide routes for the less adventurous. Of course, for those who prefer to remain recumbent, just looking at the views is a very enjoyable option.
Dikencik, by settling in a place surrounded by forest roads, offers wide TREKKING route opportunities. Trekking around Dikencik to spend a day in nature, to get rid of stress, to witness the beauty of nature, to watch the local traditions and customs that are tend to be forgotten is going to be a re-recognition experience of yourself. Exploring this extraordinary beauty and presenting this to nature lovers, creating consciousness for the nature and protecting the ecosystem becomes our objective. This magnificent natural environment also offers excellent opportunities to take photographs.
THE FIRE WATCH TOWER…
The tower is on the highest point of Geyran mountain . You can see Dikencik Cottages from the tower. There is an incredible view where you can see the Fethiye location from every direction; Fethiye and Gocek harbour , Calıs beach, Patara beach, Fethiye and Kemer City Center. If you are lucky enough to have a good weather with no humidity, Rhodos can also be seen. It’s possible to reach the tower by a car suitable for land roads. It’s a good location to take perfect panoramic photos of Fethiye area from the tower.
You will also meet warm welcome from fire watchers and most probably traditional Turkish welcome tea will be offered to you. If we are available we are taking small groups with our car for breakfast.
Its also possible to walk to the tower. It will take 1 or 2 hours according to your performance.
Besides the short and easy routes, if you would like to see the nature of Fethiye;
We can organize you to join the guided walking groups. This provides good opportunities for bird watching, wild flower spotting and mushroom hunting, depending on the season.
We are also close to some of the most beautiful historic sites, such as Cadianda, Tlos, Xanthos, Letoon, Sidyma ,Patara , Kayakoy are a short drive away.
Experience MUSHROOM HUNTING...Number of the species of edible species are available in and around the land during October to mid-April . Enjoy hunting and cooking… Edible mushrooms include Lacterius, Morels, Clitocybe geotropa, Tricholoma matsutake, Hydnum repandum etc...
Please note that summer is not the season for this wonderful experience.
